Primavera Risk Analysis Bespoke Training
MRP Rollout
Primavera P6 Rollout
As part of a large engineering organisation’s five year IS Master Plan, Primavera was being rolled out across the whole group, potentially to more than 5000 users. The project was initially started with one part of the organisation to train a team of Super Users. Time was spent fully understanding the system and writing comprehensive training materials. A scenario was put together to be used on the training to ensure that delegates could relate the processes to real life. The training was initially rolled out over a one-year period to approximately 200 people. Following on from the initial division rollout, Primavera was then rolled out to other divisions across the organisation, over time delivering training to the entire workforce of 5000 plus.
Windows, MS Office and New Processes Rollout
A utilities company were upgrading their IT systems and infrastructure for their workforce of around 5000 employees. They needed to ensure everyone was trained in using the new setup including a new version of Windows and Internet Explorer and also use of their new email Archiving Tool and their IS and Security policies. Different training interventions were used depending on learning style preference and locations. A presentation style session where groups of people could see exactly what was new in their upgrade and ask questions, and a virtual training session enabling people to see what was new without leaving their desks and encouraging people in some of the outlying offices to attend the training. This approach gave the customer great flexibility of training.
Bespoke Planning Tool Implementation
Windows and MS Office Rollout
A UK Aviation Authority was upgrading its Windows and Office versions and needed to train approximately 1000 staff across the UK. Training sessions were designed closely with the customer to ensure they met their requirements for both budget and content. These sessions ranged from one day comprehensive programmes to one and a half hour briefing style workshops, designed to suit learning styles and time restraints.
MS Office Rollout
Provided roll out training to a UK Aviation Authority on a number of Office products to approximately 800 staff based across the UK. This ran over a six month period. Training was carried out a across the country including, Crawley, London, Stansted, Luton, Weston Super Mare, Manchester and several different locations in Scotland. Supported in the training and project management of the training rollout, managing seven trainers running between two and four courses per day for maximum uptake.
MS Office, OneNote and Skype Rollout
A UK Aviation Authority were implementing a complete company upgrade to new versions of Office including new tools such as OneNote and Skype. There was a large demand from employees to have some kind of face to face training. Three half day sessions were designedand run across the UK, covering different elements so that focussed training could be offered and only minimal time out of the office was required. Feedback was excellent and people felt that their productivity increased by attending.
Office and New Equipment Rollout
Oracle E-Business Suite (ERP) Rollout
Supported a key client in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector on a 4 year Oracle E-Business System rollout. The system was rolled out across all their divisions globally. The system had been heavily bespoked by the customer and it was crucial that the training covered the system and the business processes behind it. This involved working in a highly charged environment; working to very tight deadlines; working under pressure and being faced with constant system changes. Working in the Manufacturing and Projects areas of the system, courses were designed and training delivered to all UK users totalling approximately 5000. These courses were a mixture of classroom delivery and auditorium presentation style sessions run to large groups as more of an overview. Course duration ranged from 2 hours to 4 days. As the system was rolled out to each division work was done with their process experts, not to change the courses but to be able to put them into context with their current way of working and how this needed to change going forward.
